Galatians 2:20 I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me.

Galatians 5:24 And those who are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires.

1 John 3:4 Whoever commits sin also commits lawlessness, and sin is lawlessness. 5 And you know that He was manifested to take away our sins, and in Him there is no sin. 6 Whoever abides in Him does not sin. Whoever sins has neither seen Him nor known Him.

7 Little children, let no one deceive you. He who practices righteousness is righteous, just as He is righteous. 8 He who sins is of the devil, for the devil has sinned from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that He might destroy the works of the devil. 9 Whoever has been born of God does not sin, for His seed remains in him; and he cannot sin, because he has been born of God.

Thoughts from Isaiah 10:27 From Isaiah 10:27 we get the popular, but erroneous, sayings in the church, “the anointing breaks the yoke.” This started from the KJV translation of this verse. Most of the other English translations have translated it as the anointing oil or fat that breaks the yoke. The Hebrew word used in this verse is semen, pronounced sheh’-men, which means grease, especially liquid (as from the olive, often perfumed; figuratively, richness:-anointing,xfat (things), x fruitful, oil (-ed) ointment, olive, pine. (Strong’s definition). In looking at every verse where semen is used in the Old Testament it is speaking of the oil or the fat itself and not the specific act of anointing. Now with a proper understanding of what the verse we can see the real meaning and depth of what it is saying to us even now. The Price and Cost for more of God and His Presence I was reading an account of a preacher’s experience that I had previous heard him describe before in a sermon. Thought the account was familiar to me this time though it hit different. The experience was during a time he had spent months desiring and seeking more of God and His Presence. There were two statements that the preacher made from this account that the Lord highlighted for me. The first was “My request for more of God carried a price” and the second was from his cry to the Lord “I must have more of You at any cost!”. These statements when I had heard them before sounded very true and I totally had agreed with them. In fact, they had inspired me. This time, though, was different. The Worst Time

The Worst Time 2 days ago, as I was praying, I said to the LORD that this was the worst time for my house to have a fire. It is winter, construction costs high and getting hire, interest rates are still high and before I could had more to the list Holy Spirit interrupted. He said that actually this was the perfect time. He reminded me of the 2 times in my life that God provided for me the most. The first when I was going to college and didn’t know how I was going to pay for it. I had no hope for a scholarship yet God gave me one that I didn’t even apply for. We farmed and that year we had a horrible drought and most of our crops were on sandy soil with no irrigation but we had the best year we ever had. The second time was during the great recession in 08 when I lost my job and there wasn’t a job to replace it.
